Adapt IP Law® was founded by seasoned lawyer, Peter Elyjiw. Peter has over twenty years of experience in intellectual property law from leading firms. Peter is also recognized as one of the World’s Leading Patent Professionals IAM Patent 1000, 2019-2024.

Peter holds a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and worked as an engineer for five years before completing his law degree at the University of Toronto. As a result of his engineering background, he has a particular passion for learning how technology works and helping innovative people and companies protect their intellectual property.

Peter’s years in larger firms allowed him to develop superior expertise in intellectual property law. Still, he questioned the viability of long-standing business practices that, in his view, undermined client satisfaction and professional well-being alike.
